COVID-19 Update 4.21.2020
This Update is as of Tuesday, 4/21/20, and is a follow-up to Karen’s email dated 04/05/20.
The Board of Directors is monitoring the various Town, County, State and Federal guidelines and protocols. Some of those guidelines include:
- Stay at your (primary) home if you suspect you may have been exposed to or are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. Upstate has limited facilities.
- If you decide to come up to CCVC, plan on being self-sufficient (e.g. bring food and supplies; at this time, avoid interaction with others). Restaurants may have take-out, but not eat-in. Non-essential businesses will be closed
- Contact Warren County Health Services (518-761-6580) before heading up, for guidance and local protocols. They may ask you name, others in your party, location and a contact number. They are here to help and are probably our best source of information.
- Warren County Health Services continues to ask that seasonal homeowners and others who travel to Warren County check in with county Health Services upon their arrival and isolate themselves for 14 days. The agency can be reached at 518-761-6580.
- You should self-quarantine in Warren County for 14 days
- Face covering must be worn in public when social distancing is not possible.
The Department of Health guidelines and our contract with Belden Services normally allow us to have the water system operational from the middle of May until the middle of October. We usually open the system up by the end of April or the beginning of May to allow us time to do maintenance or repairs to the system. We don’t expect that this will be the case this year, with the various protocols in place and with Belden Services working with a limited crew.
The Board of Directors will continue to monitor the situation and will send out another update in about two weeks. We are hoping we can all be back at the lake as soon as possible but we need to follow federal, state and local protocols so we can all remain safe and healthy.
Below are some of the websites for Covid-19 protocols. The Warren County site seems to be a more up to date source applicable to our region,
